The Universitat Jaume I research group Practical Ethics and Democracy works in the field of applied ethics and the theory of democracy through research projects and knowledge transfer projects. The group stands out for addressing leading fields in both applied ethics and the theory of democracy. Prominent areas in the first include its work and advice in business ethics, research ethics and USR, RRI, bioethics, ethics of tourism, ethics of Artificial Intelligence and advertising ethics. In the second field, the members of the research group stand out for their work on models of democracy, deliberative democracy and systems of participation and transparency. The group Practical Ethics and Democracy has been obtaining research projects from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation for more than two decades and is currently coordinating a European Project (Horizon 2020 - SwafS-2019-1). Finally, it stands out for the implementation of dozens of transfer projects for both public and private institutions.
