This research group studies development in childhood and adolescence and its implications in educational contexts, and focuses on three main lines of research. The first line analyses the influence of social-emotional development and its repercussions on socialisation and antisocial behaviour (juvenile offenders, risk factors and their detection, which facilitates the prevention of future recidivism). In a second line of research, socio-cognitive development is also analysed through difficulties in language acquisition and social communication in children with developmental disorders, including the study of the influence of resources such as specific communication and language classrooms (UECiL), designed to provide an inclusive and adequate educational response to this type of specific disorders. Finally, the focus is not only on minors, but also on the variables that influence them in the educational situation: self-efficacy, satisfaction and academic performance are some of the factors of analysis for the improvement of educational quality.
